The vibrant colors are created with Oeko-Tex 100 dyes, meaning no harmful substances have been used in the process. And the zipper pulls are lead-free YKK zippers. *This bag contains virtually no lead, only a very small trace amount may be detected, i.e. less than 8 parts per million, which is below the legal reporting limit. Neoprene will occasionally test positive for trace amounts of lead due to lead being added during the manufacturing process as a stabilizer. For your information, the CEH (Center for Environmental Health) is using 50 ppm as a benchmark to determine if a bag is lead-safe or not, and the new Consumer Protection Act has established the safe lead limit for children's products at 600 parts per million!
